Field Service Engineer

The Field Service Engineer position, based in Hertfordshire and open to candidates from Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire, is a permanent, full-time role offering a salary between £30,000 and £40,000 per annum. Working Monday to Friday, this field-based position involves servicing, commissioning, and maintaining equipment at client sites across the South, with UK-wide travel as required. Field Service Engineer will be responsible for servicing, commissioning, and maintaining equipment at client sites.

As a Field Service Engineer, you will work independently on site while remaining part of a supportive service team.

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and remedial works on equipment.
• Plan and prepare work using equipment specifications and system drawings.
• Complete pre-commissioning checks and commission equipment on site.
• Troubleshoot faults, complete repairs and replacements, and reinstate systems to full operation.
• Prepare reports, condition surveys, and basic estimates for parts, materials, and labour.

• Previous experience working with engineering equipment.
• Practical, hands‑on approach with strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills.
• Comfortable working independently as a Mobile Service Engineer, as well as part of a team.
• Good understanding of health and safety and safe working practices.
• Happy to travel and stay away overnight when required.
• Full clean UK driving licence.
