Role Purpose
As a Leisure Team Member at Malvern Splash, you will play a key role in delivering a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable experience for all customers. You will support the day-to-day operation of the leisure centre across wet and dry side activities, providing excellent customer service while maintaining high standards of safety, cleanliness, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a friendly, approachable, and professional service to all customers and visitors
- Welcome customers, respond to enquiries, and promote centre activities and memberships
- Handle customer feedback and resolve issues promptly and courteously
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of customers at all times, following centre procedures and safety guidelines
- Supervise pool and leisure areas as required (subject to training and qualifications)
- Carry out regular checks of facilities and equipment, reporting any faults or hazards
- Assist with emergency procedures when required
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the centre, including changing rooms, poolside, and public areas - Set up and clear down activity areas and equipment as required
- Work effectively as part of a team to ensure smooth daily operations
- Support colleagues during busy periods and special events
- Complete basic administrative tasks, including bookings, cash handling, and use of booking systems
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A positive, flexible, and proactive attitude
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently when required
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and bank holidays
- Previous experience in a leisure, fitness, or customer service environment
- National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or willingness to work towards it
- First Aid qualification
- Cash handling and reception experience
- Friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic
- Strong awareness of health and safety
- Calm and confident under pressure
