• Reports to work as scheduled on a regular and reliable basis.
• Teaches District approved curriculum daily.
• Develops lesson plans and instructional material and provides individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each pupil daily.
• Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.
• Translates lesson plans into developmentally appropriate learning experiences daily.
• Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals daily.
• Establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects, etc., and communicates these objectives to students.
• Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities daily.
• Assists students in establishing and maintaining standards of behavior to achieve an effective learning atmosphere daily.
• Evaluates students’ academic and social growth, keeps appropriate records and prepares progress reports as appropriate and required.
• Works professionally as a team member within our school district.
• Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulations.
• Administers and develops subject‑specific assessments for the purpose of assessing student competency levels.
• Instructs students for the purpose of improving their success in academics.
• Reports incidents for the purpose of maintaining personal safety of students.
• Responds to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns and/or directing to appropriate personnel for resolution.
• Other duties as assigned.
