Gleeson Recruitment Group are partnering with a well-established and growing manufacturing business to recruit a Senior Finance Manager into a pivotal leadership role. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute finance professional to join a dynamic environment where they can drive performance, influence decision‑making, and lead a high‑performing team.
The OpportunityReporting directly to the General Manager, you’ll take ownership of the finance function, playing a key role in supporting revenue growth and improving EBITDA performance. This is a highly visible position, working closely with senior stakeholders across the business and within a wider UK group structure.
You’ll combine strong financial control with a forward‑thinking, continuous improvement mindset, helping to modernise processes and deliver high‑quality insight to support strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the end‑to‑end finance function, including management accounts, reporting, and financial controls
- Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting to senior leadership and group finance teams
- Own the month‑end process, driving efficiency and ensuring tight reporting deadlines are met
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and banking relationships
- Provide insightful analysis on business performance, identifying risks and opportunities
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning cycles
- Oversee audit processes and statutory obligations
- Drive process improvements and optimise the use of ERP systems
- Take ownership of capital expenditure tracking, fixed assets, and lease accounting
- Lead and develop a finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
We’re looking for a hands‑on, commercially focused finance leader who thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA)
- Proven experience in a senior finance role within manufacturing or industrial environments
- Strong track record of managing and developing finance teams
- Confident working with senior stakeholders and influencing decision‑making
- Strong technical knowledge (IFRS / UK GAAP)
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems
- A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with a passion for improving processes
- Comfortable rolling up sleeves and supporting the wider team when needed
