CAMHS Senior Clinician – Disordered Eating

Herefordshire & Worcestershire Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) provides specialist mental health support for children & young people with moderate to severe mental health needs.
We are seeking an experienced clinician to lead clinical delivery on our new disordered eating pathway across core CAMHS. You will hold a caseload of approximately 12–14 CYP and deliver therapeutic interventions at all bases across the two counties.
Key Responsibilities- Holding a defined caseload and providing evidence‑based therapeutic interventions to CYP with disordered eating.
- Leading the disordered eating MDT.
- Providing education, training, supervision, consultation and advice to staff.
- Being an active member of the leadership team and role‑modeling Trust behaviours to all.
- Undertaking regular travel to all bases across Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
- Significant experience of evidence‑based psychological therapeutic interventions for CYP with disordered eating.
- Experience of autonomously leading clinical pathways.
- Experience of providing clinical supervision and consultation to staff.
- Solution‑focused, driven and passionate about delivering high standards of care to CYP and families.
- This is a full‑time role.
- Providing high‑quality evidence‑based therapeutic assessments and interventions to CYP presenting with disordered eating.
- Consultation on, advice for and review of referrals where disordered eating is primary.
- Supervision and training to clinical staff.
- Clinical leadership of the disordered eating pathway and MDT.
- Liaising with clinicians, families and external agencies.
- Leading on care planning for identified cohort of CYP.
- Managing data, outcomes and undertaking clinical service evaluation.
- Undertaking clinical audits.

- Provide professional leadership, day‑to‑day supervision and support for clinical staff.
- Use advanced expertise to manage complex cases and support colleagues.
- Manage defined caseload; comply with Trust policies.
- Work flexibly across the Trust to meet its needs.
- Implement and review care plans.
- Undertake Choice assessments and deliver planned treatment through partnership work, using evidence‑based approaches.
- Identify, refer, monitor and support children in need, working with external agencies.
- Prepare clinical reports (e.g., safeguarding) and support junior staff.
- Participate in and deliver clinical and safeguarding supervision.
- Provide specialised advice/clinical guidance to colleagues and external agencies.
- Develop and maintain effective team communication systems.
- Liaise with statutory and voluntary agencies and other Trust staff to promote health gain.
- Handle complex, sensitive or contentious information with developed interpersonal skills.
- Promote the CAMHS service.
- Collect, monitor and evaluate data related to CAMHS per Trust policy.
- Ensure individual assessment and care plans, involving service users and approved by senior clinician.
- Lead other mental health practitioners to ensure quality outcomes.
