Description
The Operations&Quality Coordinatorsupportscustomersatisfactionandoperationaleffectivenessbyperforming hands-on production assembly and quality activities while coordinating the materials, inventory, purchasing, and planning tasks needed to serve our customers.
This position requires a detail-oriented individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced production and distribution environment.
Asuccessful Operations&Quality Coordinatorwillbalancehands-on assembly,kitting, labeling, packaging, and quality checks with inventory management, purchasing support, and cross-functional coordination.
Job Responsibilities
- Follow procedure documents, work instructions, and quality control procedures to ensure all productsandkitsareassembled,inspected,tested,anddocumentedaccordingtospecifications.
- Performlightassembly,kitting,labeling,packaging,andvisualqualityinspectionsforproduction and customer builds.
- Readandinterpretdrawings,diagrams,specifications,work orders,andreportstocomplete customer and inventory builds accurately.
- Verifymaterialsandcomponentsbeforeassemblyandmaintainaccurateproduction documentation, quality records, inspection results, and build records.
- Receive, inspect, test, and record product results; confirm product meets specifications and communicaterejectedornonconformingmaterialtotheappropriatedepartmentsforresolution.
- Putawayapprovedmaterialtodesignatedstoragebinlocationsandsupportreceivingand warehouse activities as needed.
- Monitorinventorylevelsanddeterminematerialsrequiredtosupportproductionschedules, customer demand, and inventory builds.
- Generatepurchaserequisitionsandpurchaseordersforcomponents,supplies,and production- related materials.
- Coordinate with Warehouse,Purchasing,Demand Planning,Customer Service,Receiving,and Operationsteamsregardingmaterialavailability,production priorities,rejected material,and schedule changes.
- Identifyinventoryissues,shortages,process concerns,quality concerns,ordeliveryrisksand communicate them promptly for resolution.
- Supportcontinuousimprovementeffortsandassistwithspecialprojectsorotheroperational activities as assigned.
Qualifications
- 2+yearsofexperienceinmanufacturing,assembly,quality control,inventory management, material planning, purchasing, distribution, returns, or production coordination.
- ExperienceusingSAPorasimilarERP/WMS/EWMsystemstrongly preferred.
- Experienceworkingwithhandtoolsandbasicpowertools;abilitytoreadtechnicaldrawings, specifications, work instructions, and assembly documentation.
- Strongattentiontodetailandcommitmenttomaintainingproduction,inventory,and quality records.
- Strong organizational,time management,problem-solving,andfollow-through skills.
- Abilitytoworkindependentlyinafast-pacedproductionanddistributioncenter environment.
