Certified School Nurse School Year Full-Time Contracted Position

Great Valley School District is seeking a Certified School Nurse to provide comprehensive school health services, including assessment, screening, planning, intervention, evaluation, counseling, case management, and referrals related to the health and medical care needs of students. The position is focused on minimizing absences due to illness, maximizing educational opportunities, and fostering a safe and healthy school environment.

• Assess and provide care for ill or injured students
• Administer first aid and manage student health needs in accordance with medical orders
• Communicate appropriate medical information to school staff and healthcare providers
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation
• Collaborate with administrators, teachers, parents/guardians, and medical professionals
• Support students with special health needs and diverse backgrounds
• Provide written and oral reports regarding school health services, issues, and concerns

• Pennsylvania School Nurse Certificate
• Registered Nurse (RN) Certificate
• Current CPR certification
• Completion of all required background checks.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, illnesses, injuries, nutrition, and treatments
• Ability to diagnose and provide nursing care to students
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions from supervisors, administrators, and physicians
• Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with students, staff, and families

• Master's + 45 $ 85,470 to $96,570 (Step 10)
• Master's + 60 $ 87,945 to $99,295 (Step 10)
• Doctorate $90,420 to $102,020 (Step 10)
