Sensory Taekwon-Do is seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Martial Arts Instructor to lead our specialized program for children with autism and other special needs. This pivotal role involves developing and delivering structured Taekwon-Do classes that empower students, build confidence, and enhance physical and cognitive skills in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and oversee engaging martial arts curricula tailored for children with diverse special needs.
• Provide patient, adaptable, and encouraging instruction, ensuring classes are inclusive and effective for all participants.
• Foster a positive and safe learning atmosphere, addressing individual student needs with empathy and understanding.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and communicating effectively with parents and guardians.
• Potentially train and mentor assistant instructors, maintaining high standards of teaching and program delivery.
• Ensure all activities align with the mission and values of Sensory Taekwon-Do.

Qualifications:

• Significant experience in martial arts instruction, particularly Taekwon-Do.
• Demonstrated experience working with children with autism and other special needs is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of adaptive teaching methodologies and behavior management techniques.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• A deep commitment to student empowerment and creating an inclusive learning space.
• Relevant martial arts certifications and successful completion of background checks will be required.

Part-time

Schedule:

Saturday 9 am - 1:30pm

Salary: $20 – $30 hourly
