About the Position

Access Mammoth is seeking a Program Supervisor to join our team at Mammoth Mountain Ski Area. The Program Supervisor oversees winter programming, including daily lessons, camps, special programs, and military sports. This position coordinates lesson assignments, supervises and trains interns, staff, and volunteer instructors, and helps ensure a safe, effective, and fun experience for athletes with disabilities.

We are looking for a friendly, professional individual with strong communication skills, effective time management, and excellent attention to detail. The ideal candidate is adaptable, focused, and enjoys supporting others in a fast-paced nonprofit environment.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate operational management of adaptive lessons, including lesson assignments, confirmations, bookings, and schedule changes.
  • Monitor safety considerations and help mitigate safety-related issues involving on-hill lessons and program facilities.
  • Organize daily morning clinics, including assigning trainers, coordinating groups, and identifying clinic topics.
  • Teach adaptive lessons and provide training and support to staff instructors and volunteers.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to athletes, families, volunteers, donors, and guests.
  • Communicate clearly, directly, and compassionately with participants, families, staff, and volunteers.
  • Oversee the upkeep of Access Mammoth facilities and equipment, ensuring adaptive equipment remains safe, organized, and operational.
  • Serve as a role model for adaptive instruction, professionalism, and guest service.
  • Provide guidance to instructors and volunteers regarding lesson planning, athlete adaptations, instructional techniques, and professional development.
  • Welcome guests and provide assistance and information as needed.
  • Support other Access Mammoth staff with operational and program needs.

  • Ability to ski and/or snowboard at an expert level and safely lead others in a variety of terrain and conditions.
Education & Experience

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in guest service, communication, and problem-solving.
  • PSIA/AASI Level II Instructor Certification or higher.
  • Experience managing projects, making independent decisions, and achieving objectives.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and database management systems.

Preferred:

  • College degree.
  • Additional cross-discipline certifications.
  • Salesforce experience.
  • Volunteer or nonprofit experience.
  • Experience working with people with disabilities and their families.
  • Experience in ski school operations or management.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit at a desk for extended periods.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move a minimum of 60 pounds while wearing winter gear.
  • Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in winter mountain conditions, including severe weather.
