Job Details- Position: Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (ER)
- Location: Mammoth Lakes
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks
- Shift: Night Shift
- Schedule: 3×12
- Experience Required: 2 Years
- Weekly Pay: $2900 to $3100
- Provide rapid assessment, triage, and emergency nursing care for patients with a wide range of illnesses and injuries
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and continuously monitor vital signs and clinical status
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and emergency treatments as prescribed
- Recognize and respond quickly to life-threatening emergencies, trauma cases, cardiac events, strokes, and other critical conditions
- Assist physicians during emergency procedures, trauma resuscitations, wound care, and bedside interventions
- Operate and monitor emergency medical equipment, including cardiac monitors, defibrillators, infusion pumps, and ventilators
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, radiology staff, laboratory personnel, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, follow-up care, and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Follow infection prevention protocols, patient safety standards, and emergency department best practices
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining efficiency in a high-volume emergency setting
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
- Current BLS Certification required
- Current ACLS Certification required
- Current PALS Certification preferred
- TNCC Certification preferred
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification preferred
- Experience caring for trauma, medical, surgical, pediatric, and critical care emergency patients
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, and emergency response skills
- Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred
- Ability to prioritize multiple patients in a fast-paced emergency department
- Commitment to delivering safe, compassionate, and high-quality emergency care
