The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides direct patient care and supports a variety of public health and community health programs that promote the well‑being of Mono County residents. Working under the direction of a Registered Nurse or other licensed medical professional, this position delivers skilled vocational nursing services, administers medications and immunizations, performs health screenings and testing, assists with patient assessments, and provides health education and referrals.

The LVN also supports community outreach initiatives, vaccination clinics, home visits, and preventive health programs while maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring compliance with infection control and patient safety standards. This position plays an important role in improving access to quality healthcare services and fostering healthier communities throughout the county.
