Librarian Assistant

Librarian Assistant is looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our library team in Manama. This position is suitable for freshers and offers an attractive salary of 1000$. As a Librarian Assistant, you will assist the head librarian in managing and organizing the library's resources, maintaining records, and providing support to library patrons.

• Assist the head librarian in cataloging, classifying, and shelving books and other materials
• Maintain accurate records of library materials, including checking items in and out
• Help patrons locate materials within the library and provide basic reference assistance
• Ensure that all materials are properly labeled and stored according to the library's classification system
• Assist with inventory management, including ordering new materials and keeping track of existing ones
• Help maintain a clean and orderly library environment by organizing shelves, tables, and study areas

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred but not required
• Previous experience working in a library is a plus but not required for this entry-level position
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to maintain accurate records
• Good communication skills to assist patrons with locating materials and answering basic questions
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
