Established in 1968, Gulf Plastic Industries (GPI) is one of Bahrain’s leading manufacturers of plastic piping systems, serving infrastructure, water distribution, sewage, telecommunications, electrical, and industrial sectors across Bahrain and the GCC region.

As part of its strategic growth and regional expansion plans, GPI is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and results‑oriented Sales Manager to lead its commercial operations and drive sustainable business growth across local and regional markets.

Position Summary

The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, expanding market share, managing key customer relationships, leading the sales team, and achieving revenue and profitability targets. The role requires a commercially driven professional with strong industry knowledge and a proven ability to develop business opportunities across the GCC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans aligned with company growth objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to achieve sales targets and maximize performance.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across Bahrain and GCC markets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, contractors, consultants, developers, and key stakeholders.
  • Manage major customer accounts and oversee commercial negotiations.
  • Monitor market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activities.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports for senior management.
  • Drive product approvals and specifications with consultants, government authorities, and project stakeholders.
  • Support the company’s strategic expansion initiatives and contribute to increasing regional market share.
  • Coordinate closely with production, logistics, quality, and finance departments to ensure customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
Requirements
  • Minimum 7–10 years of sales management experience, preferably within the plastic pipes and fittings, building materials, construction, infrastructure, or industrial manufacturing sectors.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and delivering business growth.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Experience managing regional sales operations and distribution networks.
  • Ability to develop sales strategies, budgets, and revenue growth plans.
  • Excellent analytical and commercial decision‑making capabilities.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and spoken.
  • Willingness to travel frequently across GCC markets.
Industry Knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of PVC, CPVC, PPR, HDPE, MDPE, and LDPE piping systems and related fittings.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure, water distribution, sewage, drainage, telecommunications, and electrical conduit projects.
  • Understanding of GCC procurement processes, project specifications, and tender requirements.
  • Ability to work with consultants, contractors, government entities, and utility companies to secure product approvals and project specifications.
  • Experience in developing distributor networks and managing channel partners across multiple markets.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Existing network and established relationships with contractors, consultants, developers, distributors, and infrastructure project stakeholders across the GCC region.
  • Proven experience in plastic piping systems, utilities, infrastructure, water, wastewater, telecommunications, or construction sectors.
  • Experience managing large‑scale projects and strategic accounts.
  • Strong understanding of ASTM, DIN, BS, ISO, and related industry standards.
  • GCC market experience is highly preferred.
Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
