Job Description – Service Development Executive Role Overview
The Service Development Executive is responsible for supporting the identification, development, evaluation, and launch of new service offerings across the Group. The role conducts market research, supplier and partner sourcing, operational planning, feasibility assessments, and business analysis to ensure new services are commercially viable and operationally sustainable.
The position works closely with Commercial, Operations, Finance, Technology, and other business functions to support innovation initiatives and contribute to the successful development and implementation of new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities 1. Market Research & Opportunity Identification- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and new business opportunities.
- Monitor competitor activities, industry developments, and market demands.
- Gather and analyze data to support service development decisions.
- Identify potential service gaps and opportunities for business diversification.
- Prepare research reports and recommendations for management review.
- Assist in the development and design of new service offerings.
- Support the preparation of business cases and service proposals.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to define service requirements and operational needs.
- Participate in service planning workshops and development initiatives.
- Contribute ideas and recommendations for service enhancement and innovation.
- Conduct operational, commercial, and financial feasibility assessments for proposed services.
- Analyze market potential, cost structures, revenue opportunities, and implementation requirements.
- Support the development of pricing models and commercial assumptions.
- Identify potential risks and recommend mitigation measures.
- Assist in evaluating the overall viability of new service concepts.
- Research and identify potential suppliers, technology providers, and strategic partners.
- Obtain quotations, proposals, and technical information from external parties.
- Assist in evaluating supplier capabilities and commercial offerings.
- Support negotiations and coordination activities with vendors and partners.
- Maintain a database of prospective partners and service providers.
- Assist in developing operational plans for new service launches.
- Coordinate with Operations and Support Functions to ensure readiness for implementation.
- Support process mapping, workflow design, and resource planning activities.
- Monitor implementation timelines and follow up on action items.
- Participate in pilot programs and service launch activities.
- Track project progress and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Prepare presentations, reports, feasibility studies, and project documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of development initiatives and project milestones.
- Provide regular updates to management on service development activities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across new service projects.
- Coordinate with internal departments to gather information and align development activities.
- Support meetings with clients, suppliers, and business partners when required.
- Build effective working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Ensure effective communication throughout the service development process.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Commerce, Economics, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in Project Management, Business Analysis, Innovation Management, or related disciplines are advantageous.
- Fresh graduates with strong academic performance and demonstrated entrepreneurial or project-based experience may be considered.
- 2–5 years of experience in business development, market research, operations, project coordination, consulting, or related fields.
- Experience supporting service development, product development, feasibility studies, or business improvement initiatives is preferred.
- Exposure to market analysis, supplier sourcing, operational planning, or commercial evaluation activities is advantageous.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
