Role Overview
The Head of Financial Institutions will be responsible for establishing and managing all banking relationships and partnerships, financial institution relationships and partnerships, payment rails, settlement processes, and liquidity flows.
Key Responsibilities Establish and manage relationships and partnerships with local and regional banks, financial institution relationships and partnerships.Lead onboarding and integration of payment rails and settlement accounts.Define and oversee payment flows, reconciliations, and liquidity processes.Work closely with compliance and product teams to ensure regulatory Alignment.Support expansion of banking and payment capabilities across MEA.Act as key point of contact for banking partners.Requirements
5+ years of hands‑on experience in payment integration, banking partnership, or treasury operations at a payments firm, digital bank, or fintech company.Deep understanding of payment infrastructure and settlement processes, with the ability to translate this knowledge into actionable solutions and operational workflows.Experience managing banking relationships for highly regulated financial products (e.g., e‑wallets, cross‑border remittances), with a thorough understanding of bank compliance requirements and the foresight to address them proactively.Direct experience engaging with banks, integrating local payment networks, or managing cross‑border funds flows in the Middle East and Africa (MEA). Familiarity with local regulatory environments and banking landscapes is highly preferred.Problem‑solver driven by outcomes, not just processes. Exceptional project execution skills, cross‑functional coordination abilities, and a proven track record of delivering results in high‑ambiguity environments. You are a “closer,” not a “messenger.”Proficiency in English as the working language, with fluency in both written and verbal professional communication. Proficiency in Arabic is a significant advantage.Hold a valid Bahrain work visa, possess legal eligibility to work in Bahrain, or demonstrate exceptional qualifications to secure a Bahrain visa.#J-18808-Ljbffr
