JOB PURPOSE

The Analyst - Financial Control is responsible for managing the organization's financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, compliance, financial analysis, risk management, and treasury activities. The role is required to provide strategic financial guidance, lead the finance team, and collaborate cross-functionally to support the organization's long-term success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage all accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition. Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.

Maintain the company's bank balance, closely monitor outstanding checks, and reconcile bank statements regularly to maintain a comprehensive understanding of the organization's cash position.

Proactively manage cash flow by tracking all transactions and reviewing internal reports on a regular basis. Identify any potential issues and implement strategies to optimize the company's financial position.

Establish and maintain a documented system of accounting policies, procedures, and other internal controls to effectively manage payments and revenue collection. Regularly review and update these controls to ensure they remain effective.

Ensure that all accounts payable are paid in a timely manner and that all reasonable discounts are taken, maximizing cost savings for the organization.

Regularly complete periodic bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of the company's financial records and identify any discrepancies.

Support the month-end and year-end close processes, providing the necessary information and analysis to ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements.

Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit, collaborating closely to facilitate a smooth and efficient review process.

Maintain a well-organized and easily accessible accounting filing system, ensuring the secure storage and retrieval of all financial records and documentation.

RISK, COMPLIANCE AND BUSINESS CONTINUITY

At all times, act with due care, skill, and diligence to ensure compliance with the aviation group's risk culture, policies, and procedures, as well as our Code of Conduct and Values.

Foster a climate of openness, transparency, and accountability regarding compliance with external regulations (including aviation safety standards) and internal risk policies. Ensure that all compliance-related issues are raised and resolved promptly.

Educate stakeholders and reportees on risk and compliance matters specific to the aviation industry and ensure that all employees within your reporting line complete mandatory training in accordance with the scheduled timeline.

Promptly report to your supervisor and refer to HR Employee Relations Whistle Blowing Policy of any knowledge or suspicion of financial crime or safety violations, providing relevant facts to assist investigations as needed.

Ensure that policies and procedures for your area(s) of responsibility are clearly documented, easily accessible, and regularly updated to reflect current aviation regulations.

Actively participate in exercises designed to rehearse the organization's response to emergency situations, such as evacuation drills and Business Continuity tests, ensuring the readiness of all staff to handle potential aviation-related crises effectively.

Comply with and actively discharge all safety responsibilities applicable to the role including hazard identification, accident and incident reporting, adherence to safety procedures, promotion of a positive safety culture, avoiding reckless and negligent behavior, using appropriate PPE, managing housekeeping, and ensure adherence to the principles, pillars, and safety policies of the organization’s Safety Management System.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors Degree in Accounting.

Minimum of 1 years of experience in financial or related field.
