Finance Manager

Lead finance operations including financial reporting, projects and costs controlling, inventory & production accounting, receivables management, treasury & bank facilities oversight, and cash flow management. Assist the Head of Finance in preparing reports and presentations for senior management. Manage finance team and ensure integrity of financial controls across all business divisions.

• Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements per IFRS.
• Direct month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely reporting.
• Assist Head of Finance in preparing management reports and Board packs.
• Prepare financial dashboards and variance analysis for senior management review.
• Coordinate external audit process and respond to auditor queries.
• Engage with internal auditors and ensure timely resolution of internal audit observations and recommendations.
• Strengthen financial controls and drive financial process improvements through system configuration and workflow automation.
• Manage inventory accounting and valuation. Oversee production accounting including raw materials, WIP, and finished goods costing. Monitor inventory levels, turnover ratios, and identify slow-moving/obsolete stock.
• Lead receivables management strategy across all divisions. Manage complex receivables from government entities and VIP clients. Set and monitor customer credit limits based on credit risk assessment. Supervise receivables team and drive collection performance.
• Manage bank credit facilities (Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantees, overdraft). Monitor facility utilization, covenant compliance, and maintain banking relationships. Oversee daily cash positioning and cash flow forecasting.
• Oversee general ledger management, account reconciliations, and chart of accounts integrity.
• Manage fixed assets register, depreciation, and lease accounting (IFRS 16).
• Oversee cost allocation methodologies for labour, overheads to various divisions.
• Ensure proper accruals, provisions, and technical accounting treatments (IFRS 9, IFRS 15).
• Champion SAP B1 system optimization and financial process improvements.
• Lead, guide, and develop Finance staff to ensure effective performance and accountability.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA, CA, ACCA, CMA, or CIMA certification are required.
• Minimum 7 years relevant finance experience.
• Knowledge of Construction/contracting, engineering, or production sector preferred in Bahrain or GCC region experience.
• Expert IFRS knowledge, internal controls design and implementation, inventory valuation methods, production cost accounting and variance analysis, advanced Excel & financial modelling and SAP B1 proficiency.
• Strong presentation skills for senior management reporting, leadership and team development, excellent communication and stakeholder management
