Job Overview

AX Coin is the first and only licensed stablecoin issuer under the regulation of the Central Bank of Bahrain. We are seeking a Director of Finance to lead AX Coin financials, including financial governance, reporting, and prudential control framework within a regulated fintech and stablecoin environment. This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining robust financial controls, statutory and regulatory reporting, and compliance with CBB Rulebook requirements (including Volume 6 – Capital Markets & Stablecoin Issuance) and applicable accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

Establish and maintain a robust financial control framework appropriate to the nature, scale, and complexity of AX Coin operations.

Ensure proper segregation of duties within finance processes and maintain complete and accurate books and records.

Ensure timely and accurate submission of all financial reports required by the CBB and monitor compliance with capital and liquidity requirements.

Monitor AX Coin’s capital position and oversee liquidity planning to ensure the company can meet its financial obligations as they fall due.

Oversee financial processes associated with stablecoin issuance activities, including accounting treatment of issuance, redemption, and reserve assets.

Lead the annual budgeting process and prepare financial forecasts and business projections.

Prepare periodic management accounts and oversee annual financial statements and statutory audits.

Manage banking relationships and oversee treasury and cash flow management.

Identify financial risks and implement appropriate mitigation controls.

Cooperate with the Internal Audit function and facilitate independent reviews of finance processes.

Key Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related discipline.

Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CA, CMA, or equivalent.

5–10 years of relevant experience in finance within a regulated financial services environment.

Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulatory financial compliance.

Experience in capital markets, fintech, digital assets, or regulated entities is preferred.
