Senior Family Office Accountant

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Family Office Accountant to oversee and manage the global financial affairs of a private family office. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional financial management expertise, rigorous attention to detail, and a proactive, hands-on approach to complex financial operations. Our client is only considering candidates who have ideally worked previously within a family office, private wealth environment or similar.

This role requires a trusted professional capable of handling sensitive information with discretion while delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting.

• Financial Management & Reporting
• Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Manage consolidated reporting across multiple entities, trusts, and investments
• Ensure timely and precise cash flow monitoring and forecasting
• Maintain robust financial controls and processes

• Banking & Treasury Management
• Manage day-to-day banking relationships, including account opening, maintenance, and administration across multiple jurisdictions
• Oversee liquidity management, ensuring optimal cash positioning across entities and accounts
• Monitor payments, including large-value and international transfers, with appropriate controls and approvals
• Manage treasury activities including cash pooling, FX exposure monitoring and coordination of currency transactions

• Investment & Asset Oversight
• Track and report on a diverse portfolio of investments (equities, property, private equity, etc.)
• Liaise with external investment managers and advisors
• Monitor performance and ensure accurate accounting treatment

• Tax & Compliance
• Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure full compliance across jurisdictions
• Prepare and review tax documentation and filings
• Ensure adherence to regulatory and statutory requirements
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant financial regulations

• Entity & Structure Management
• Manage accounting for complex structures including trusts, partnerships, and offshore entities
• Support structuring decisions with financial insight

• 10+ years of relevant accounting experience, ideally within a family office, private wealth environment, or similar
• Proven track record managing complex financial structures and multi-entity reporting
• Strong experience in investment accounting and financial oversight

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Strong technical accounting knowledge

• Experience working with high-net-worth individuals or family offices
• Exposure to international structures and multi-jurisdictional tax environments
• Familiarity with specialist accounting or portfolio management systems
