Purpose of the ProjectWe are seeking a seasoned banking professional to lead the growth and expansion of our Commercial Cards and B2B payments portfolio in Bahrain. The role will focus on driving corporate client acquisition, scaling cardable supplier payment opportunities, and strengthening the bank's position as a strategic partner for enterprise clients. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in commercial cards, corporate banking, and payment solutions, with a proven track record in business development, portfolio growth, and stakeholder management.
CoreResponsibilities and Accountabilities
- Drive growth of the commercial card's portfolio across large corporates and mid-market segments.
- Identify and unlock B2B supplier payment opportunities and increase card penetration.
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies aligned with regional priorities.
- Manage relationships with corporate clients including MNCs and enterprises.
- Position the bank as a trusted advisor in supplier payments and working capital optimization.
- Support product development and commercial card solution launches.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across transaction banking, risk, and operations.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to enhance offerings.
- 12/18+ years of experience in corporate banking, payments, or commercial cards.
- Strong expertise in B2B payments and corporate client management.
- Proven track record in business development and revenue growth.
- Experience managing corporate portfolios and cross-functional teams.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

- Strong experience across the GCC banking markets.
- Previous experience within Banking, Digital Payment & Card solutions, or the Fin Tech industry.

- Excellent communication skills in English (written, verbal, and presentation); fluency in Arabic is an advantage.
- The ability to analyse data, troubleshoot payment issues, optimize processes, and make data-driven decisions.
- Good understanding of payment systems, digital platforms, system workflows, security basics, and industry technologies.
- An understanding of regional regulations across financial services or payment networks.
