Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cards Products professional to lead the strategic development, commercialization, and performance management of a growing cards portfolio. The successful candidate will combine deep expertise in card products with strong stakeholder management, payments ecosystem knowledge, and execution leadership to drive growth, innovation, and profitability across debit, credit, and prepaid card businesses.
This role requires a senior practitioner who can engage with executive stakeholders, regulators, processing partners, and internal business teams while delivering product launches, portfolio optimization initiatives, and strategic transformation programs.
Key Responsibilities Product Strategy & Portfolio Management- Define and execute the cards product strategy across Debit, Credit, and Prepaid portfolios.
- Lead product ideation, customer value proposition development, pricing strategy, and commercialization.
- Identify opportunities to increase acquisition, activation, spend, engagement, and profitability.
- Manage the full product lifecycle, including launch, enhancement, optimization, and retirement.
- Drive revenue growth through portfolio management, customer engagement initiatives, and targeted campaigns.
- Monitor key portfolio metrics including spend, activation, acquisition, revenue, profitability, and customer retention.
- Develop business cases and recommendations for new products, partnerships, and market opportunities.
- Manage relationships with processing partners, fintech partners, and third-party vendors.
- Lead discussions related to co-branded, white-label, and partnership card programs.
- Support the development of sponsorship and partnership models to expand card issuance capabilities.
- Ensure effective integration with card processing platforms, payment networks, and digital payment solutions.
- Lead complex cards and payments initiatives from concept through implementation.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across Product, Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Finance, and Marketing.
- Manage project risks, dependencies, budgets, and stakeholder expectations.
- Support strategic transformation initiatives across cards and payments businesses.
- Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Support audit, risk, compliance, and governance activities related to card products.
- Monitor market developments and emerging payment trends to maintain product competitiveness and regulatory readiness.
- 12+ years of experience in Cards, Payments, Retail Banking, or Fintech.
- Proven track record in cards product management, portfolio growth, and product commercialization.
- Strong understanding of card issuing, processing, payment ecosystems, and digital payments.
- Experience leading product launches, portfolio optimization initiatives, and strategic programs.
- Demonstrated ability to engage senior stakeholders and manage complex cross-functional environments.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing profitability, pricing, and business performance.
- Experience with in banking, fintech, or payments environments in the Middle East region is highly preferred.
- Card product launches across Credit, Debit, and Prepaid portfolios.
