Account Manager – Transfer Agency – AVP at Apex Group (Bahrain, Manama). Full‑time on‑site role within the Operations, Transfer Agency department. This position involves overseeing transfer agency responsibilities for a portfolio of funds, ensuring compliance with AML/KYC, FATCA, and other regulatory requirements, and coordinating with fund investors, managers and internal teams.

Job Responsibilities- Serve as a knowledgeable and professional point of contact for fund investors, fund managers, and internal teams regarding fund documentation, investor registries, and AML/KYC processing.
- Apply AML/KYC laws and guidelines set by MENA regulators, CIMA, and Apex AML Policies; adhere to established policies, procedures, and controls.
- Utilise knowledge of Bermuda and BVI AML/KYC laws (advantageous).
- Manage all transfer agency functions including AML/KYC, investor onboarding, share‑registry dealings, Metrosoft screening, payments, FATCA/CRS filings, etc.
- Coordinate with operations and CRM teams to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Understand fund structures (share classes vs. series) and NAV per share; publish correct prices to pricing vendors (Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Morning Star, etc.).
- Apply basic accounting knowledge for subscriptions, redemptions, and distributions; ensure investor communications are released in line with procedures and deadlines.
- Build relationships with FA teams, establish workflows, and update FA teams on all TA activity to be included in NAV.
- Take responsibility for fund audits related to TA‑related PBC requirements.
- Maintain proficiency in English and possess strong written and verbal communication skills;
Arabic (written and spoken) is an added advantage. - Display strong email etiquette when communicating with investors and clients.
- Read, understand, and comment on TA‑related aspects in a Fund PPM; coordinate with the Corporate Secretary on waivers, board resolutions, etc.
- Keep knowledge of assigned funds, timelines, deal documentation, and related processes up‑to‑date.
- Organise workflows, responsibilities, and priorities to manage deadlines with exceptional attention to detail and follow‑through.
- Participate in special projects such as automation efforts, enhanced controls, system testing, and client research.
- 5–7 years of overall experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a transfer agency role.
- Minimum of 2 years in a team‑leader or managerial role (for the AVP position).
- High level of visibility within a large organisation on an upward trajectory.
