Conduct independent financial and credit analysis to assess the risks associated with proposed client financing facilities before submitting them for approval. The role also supports credit application preparation, credit reporting, account monitoring and lending decisions.
Conduct independent financial and credit analysis to assess the risks associated with proposed client financing facilities before submitting them for approval. The role also supports credit application preparation, credit reporting, account monitoring and lending decisions.
Responsibilities- Analyse clients’ credit risks and the financial risks affecting their industries.
- Review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash-flow projections and business plans.
- Evaluate customers’ financial position and ability to repay financing facilities.
- Prepare industry reports and peer comparisons.
- Prepare credit applications with Relationship Managers in accordance with the bank's credit policies.
- Develop credit information to support new loans, renewals and loan extensions.
- Prepare review-list, past-due and financial-covenant reports.
- Ensure customer files contain updated financial statements, receivables ageing and other required documents.
- Monitor customer accounts, identify emerging issues and notify Relationship Managers.
- Respond to written and verbal credit enquiries.
- Prepare credit-related correspondence concerning bank customers.
- Set and achieve annual performance objectives.
- Identify personal development needs and maintain relevant professional knowledge.
- Bachelor's degree in Banking and Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline.
- FAP certification is preferred.
- At least 5 to 6 years of practical banking experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in the same or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of banking risk policies and customer exposure.
- Knowledge of products and services offered to commercial customers.
- Strong financial, credit and risk-analysis skills.
- Methodical and analytical approach to assessing risk.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Client-focused and results-oriented mindset.
- High level of risk awareness.
- Ability to work under pressure and consistently meet deadlines.
- Reliability, flexibility, transparency and open-mindedness.
- Good computer literacy.
