The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Department Manager to oversee the daily operations, performance, and strategic direction of a designated department. The successful candidate will lead teams, manage departmental resources, drive operational efficiency, and ensure the department consistently meets organizational objectives and service standards.
This role is ideal for professionals with expertise in operations management, people leadership, budgeting, performance management, and cross-functional collaboration.
What You’ll Do- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the assigned department
- Develop departmental goals, business plans, budgets, and performance metrics aligned with organizational strategy
- Supervise, coach, and develop team members to achieve high performance and professional growth
- Monitor departmental KPIs, productivity, service quality, and operational performance
- Optimize workflows, policies, procedures, and resource allocation to improve efficiency
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and cross-functional coordination
- Manage departmental budgets, expenses, procurement, and resource planning
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards
- Identify operational risks and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Lead change management, continuous improvement, and digital transformation initiatives within the department
- Prepare management reports, business updates, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and customer-focused workplace culture
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Engineering, Human Resources, Operations Management, or a related field
- 5–10+ years of experience in departmental management, operations, team leadership, or business administration
- Proven experience managing teams, budgets, and departmental performance
- Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Experience driving process improvement, operational excellence, and employee engagement
- Strong financial and business acumen
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid working environment
- MBA or Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, Operations, or a related discipline
- Professional certifications such as PMP, Lean Six Sigma, SHRM, CIPD, CMI, or equivalent
- Experience using enterprise business systems such as SAP S/4
HANA, Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or similar enterprise solutions - Knowledge of business planning, digital transformation, organizational development, risk management, and performance management
- Experience leading departments within manufacturing, retail, healthcare, finance, logistics, technology, government, or professional services
- Fluency in English is required;
Arabic and additional languages are highly desirable
