Front of House; FOH Team Member; Waiter​/Runner​/Hostess

The FOH Team Member represents the welcoming face of Somewhere Bahrain. This role combines the responsibilities of waiter, runner, and hostess, ensuring seamless guest experiences from arrival to departure. You will be responsible for greeting guests, managing seating, taking and serving orders, running food and beverages, and maintaining high service standards while supporting overall restaurant operations.

Guest Welcome & Hostess Duties

• Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival.

• Manage reservations, waiting lists, and seating arrangements.

• Escort guests to tables and present menus.

• Ensure smooth guest flow and address seating preferences.

Waiter Duties

• Present menus, answer questions, and provide recommendations.

• Take food and beverage orders accurately and process them through the POS system.

• Serve meals and beverages professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction.

• Handle customer queries, feedback, and complaints courteously.

• Manage bills, payments, and receipts as required.

Runner Duties

• Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen/bar to guests promptly.

• Ensure food presentation is consistent with brand standards.

• Clear tables efficiently and reset them for the next guests.

• Assist the service team with side duties, such as polishing cutlery and refilling water.

  Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience as waiter, runner, or hostess in a restaurant/hospitality setting preferred.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.

  • Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.

  • Knowledge of POS systems is an advantage.

  • Fluency in English;
    Arabic or other languages is a plus.
