About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Relationship Officer to drive the growth of our payment solutions across the SME segment in Bahrain. This role requires a dynamic individual, responsible for acquiring merchants, managing relationships, and achieving sales target.
The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the payments ecosystem and experience in industries such as Fin Tech, Payment Service Providers (PSPs), Telecom, POS solutions, or related technology sectors

Merchant Acquisition & Sales
- Identify, engage, and acquire SME and retail merchants for digital payment acceptance solutions, including QR payments, digital wallets, and related fintech products.
- Execute the complete merchant acquisition lifecycle, covering lead generation, prospecting, product presentation, negotiation, closure, and merchant onboarding.
- Achieve assigned monthly and quarterly targets for merchant acquisition, transaction activation, and revenue contribution.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with SME owners and key business decision-makers to ensure long-term engagement and retention.
- Coordinate with internal operations and onboarding teams to ensure smooth merchant activation and timely go-live.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline status, and merchant data in CRM and reporting systems.
Market & Industry Insight
- Stay updated on market trends, competitor offerings, and customer behaviour in Bahrain.
- Provide actionable feedback to product and marketing teams for improvements and promotions.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, pipeline, and market insights.
- Analyze sales metrics to identify areas of improvement and opportunities for growth.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
- Experience:
- 5+ years in B2B sales, preferably in Fin Tech, PSPs, Telecom, or POS solutions
. - Experience managing a small team is highly preferred.
- Proven track record of acquiring and managing SME accounts.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with the payments ecosystem and SME market in Bahrain is a plus.
