Plumber Journeyman / Laborer Foreman – V2X, Manama, B13, BH. Full time on site position offers career growth.
OverviewThe Plumber assembles, installs, and repairs pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems. Duties include cutting and threading pipe, assembling and installing valves, pipe fittings, and pipes composed of metals such as iron, steel, brass and lead, and nonmetals. The plumber also conducts tests to identify leaks, installs and repairs plumbing fixtures such as sinks, commodes, showers, water heaters, and maintains plumbing by replacing washers in leaky faucets, mending burst pipes, and opening clogged drains.
May weld holding fixtures to steel structural members. In addition to plumbing duties, the plumber will escort subcontract workers, buses, and trucks to various locations.
- Perform all assigned duties safely and efficiently to maintain a safe work environment.
- Maintain, install, and repair all aspects of plumbing including fire suppression, pool operations and maintenance, water, gas, and sanitary/storm sewer systems.
- Modify, repair, replace, and maintain component parts.
- Read and interpret work orders, parts requests, drawings/schematics/blueprints, and manuals to accomplish assigned duties.
- Conduct periodic inspections, fulfill recurring maintenance requirements, and complete associated documentation.
- Maintain systems to conform to written guidance and applicable changes.
- Maintain required operating forms and records and ensure proper use of assigned shop equipment.
- Provide on-the-job training as required.
- Schedule work and perform quality assurance through job site visits.
- Escort subcontract workers, buses, and trucks to various locations.
- Perform other duties as assigned in accordance with contractual, functional, and mission requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Plumbing Journeyman license from any U.S. state.
- Backflow certification preferred.
- Driver’s license with at least 1 year of remaining validity and ability to drive a standard transmission vehicle.
- U.S. passport with at least 6 months of remaining validity.
- Ability to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- 1–4 years of related experience.
- Strong organizational and multi‑tasking abilities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficiency with computer automated systems to perform assigned duties.
Excellent verbal and written communication to direct employees, prepare reports for upper management, and facilitate/disseminate information. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment handling multiple tasks simultaneously. Utilization of computer automated systems.
