Job Description The Anderson Company, LLC, a site development company for 30 years is seeking an experienced staff accountant to manage the daily accounting activities for two small, closely held businesses. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of accounting experience and a detail-oriented approach. This is a hand on, detail driven role ideal for someone who enjoys ownership of the accounting function and thrives in a small team environment.

Essential Functions
· Manage all daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, vendor payments, bank and credit card reconciliations, journal entries, and maintenance of accurate financial records. Ensure transactions are recorded timely and in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
· Prepare and distribute monthly financial reporting packages for ownership, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow reports, and supporting schedules. Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and provide insights into key performance trends to support informed business decisions.
· Oversee general ledger management and month-end close processes, ensuring all accounts are reconciled, adjustments are properly recorded, and financial data is complete and accurate. Maintain organized, audit-ready documentation and support internal and external audit requests as needed.
· Manage fixed asset and equipment accounting, including recording asset acquisitions, transfers, disposals, and retirements. Maintain detailed fixed asset registers, calculate and track depreciation schedules, reconcile asset balances, and ensure compliance with applicable accounting requirements.
· Provide financial and operational support to ownership and management, including ad hoc financial analysis, budgeting assistance, cash flow forecasting, profitability reporting, and special projects. Develop customized reports and analyses to support strategic planning, operational improvements, and business growth initiatives.
· Monitor and improve accounting processes and internal controls to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. Identify opportunities for process improvements, implement best practices, and support the ongoing development of accounting systems and procedures.
· Collaborate with external partners, including CPAs, tax advisors, financial institutions, and auditors, to facilitate tax filings, year-end reporting, audits, and other financial compliance requirements.### Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
· 3–5 years of Accounting experience
· Strong understanding of GAAP and fixed asset accounting
· Experience with Construction Accounting would be preferred
· Proficiency with accounting software
· High attention to detail, accuracy, and follow through
· Ability to work independently
