Job Summary
The Scheduler will schedule all routine and non‑routine medical services with various local healthcare providers for an assigned patient population. In addition, the Scheduler will perform a variety of receptionist, clerical, record‑keeping, and miscellaneous duties in support and care of services provided in an outpatient or inpatient medical setting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Daily confirmation of all on‑site clinic and off‑site appointments.
- Receive, screen and coordinate telephone calls from healthcare providers.
- Assist with maintaining and updating all provider addresses and phone numbers.
- Receive incoming correspondence and review/forward to appropriate staff.
- Perform a variety of administrative duties including answering phones, faxing and filing confidential documents, and basic Internet and email utilization.
- Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
- Obtain patient information at the time of admission and assist in filling out forms, relevant documents, and case histories.
- Make and distribute daily schedules for doctors and staff.
- Maintain and update physician and patient data.
- Manage the front desk operations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Associate Degree and/or certificate program preferred.
- Three years of medical clinic administrative or medical scheduling experience preferred.
The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $25,900.00 – $64,800.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job‑related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part‑time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
