DescriptionJob Title: Automotive Service Technician
Department: Service
Employment Status: Full‑time (Exempt/Non‑exempt, as applicable)
Reports To: Service Manager/Director & Service Operations Director
Job Summary: As an Automotive Service Technician at Bomnin Automotive, you will play a crucial role in providing top‑notch automotive maintenance and repair services to our customers. You will use your technical skills to diagnose and repair vehicles efficiently and accurately, contributing to our dealership’s success.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Diagnose and repair complex automotive issues, including engine, transmission, electrical, and mechanical problems, using advanced diagnostic equipment.
- Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer and industry standards for quality and safety.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service, explaining vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
- Accurately document all services performed and recommended repairs using digital systems.
- Collaborate with service advisors and team members to prioritize and complete repairs efficiently.
- Stay updated on advancements in automotive technology, attend training sessions, and maintain required certifications.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an automotive technician program preferred.
- ASE certification is a plus.
- Proven experience as an automotive service technician with strong knowledge of vehicle systems and diagnostics.
- Proficiency in using automotive diagnostic equipment and tools.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends as needed.
The position requires the ability to lift heavy equipment and perform tasks associated with automotive repair.
Work EnvironmentThe work environment is primarily an automotive service bay, with exposure to various environmental conditions, chemicals, and vehicle exhaust.
Other DutiesOther duties may be assigned as needed by the Service Manager or Service Director.
At‑Will Employment RelationshipThe employment relationship is at‑will. Either the associate or the employer may terminate the relationship at any time, with or without cause or notice.
