We’re looking for an adetail-oriented, organized, and proactive Purchasing Agentto manage plumbing materials, vendor relationships, purchase orders, inventory flow, and field delivery support. This role plays a critical part in maintaining service efficiency, controlling costs, and ensuring our plumbers have what they need to get jobs done right.

Purchasing & Vendor Management
- Placing digital purchase orders with suppliers
- Managing materials returns and digital return processing
- Reconciling purchase order pricing against invoices
- Negotiating pricing and managing vendor relationships
- Researching new product lines and cost-saving opportunities
- Establishing consignment relationships when appropriate
- Monitoring inventory levels to prevent stockouts
- Receiving, restocking, counting, and verifying inventory
- Tracking and following up on backorders
Checking orders for accuracy (items, quantity, condition) - Coordinating receipt and shipping of goods
- Optimizing the parts request process
- Expediting parts and equipment when needed
- Delivering parts throughout the metro area as required
- Loading and unloading plumbing materials and equipment
- Assisting plumbers and technicians when necessary
- Supporting monthly financial closing processes as needed
- Clean, safe driving record
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable using computers and digital ordering systems
- Adequate written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of plumbing products and supply houses (preferred)
- Positive, professional attitude and strong integrity
- Team-oriented but comfortable working independently
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- High School Diploma required
- Prior purchasing, warehouse, inventory, or plumbing supply experience preferred
- Continuing education mindset encouraged
- Ability to sit, walk, bend, crouch, and lift throughout the day
- Must be able to lift up to
30 lbs independently - Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors
- Able to safely operate a vehicle for deliveries
- Typical schedule:
8–10 hour days, 5 days per week - Combination of warehouse, office, and occasional field environments
- Moderate noise level
- Fast-paced, deadline-driven industry
