Position Summary
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for building rapport and trust with clients by delivering consistent, exceptional service. The CSR handles accurate data entry for shipping and receiving information, processes orders, and supports the efficient operation of the site. They also act as a liaison between the warehouse, office, and customers, ensuring that service standards are met.

- Process and input all customer orders.
- Run and print shipments from the WMS.
- Run stock reports to verify product availability.
- Generate all related paperwork and necessary information for customer work orders.
- Check all orders for special requests.
- Expedite orders as necessary, trace orders, and notify customers of any activity concerning their merchandise.
- Follow up with other departments to ensure service standards are met.
- Ensure proper invoicing by verifying customer accounts.
- Handle returned merchandise efficiently and ensure proper credit to the customer.
- Maintain a good working relationship with customers by responding to all inquiries, complaints, and addressing any signs of dissatisfaction.
- Act as a liaison between the warehouse and the customer in administration of accounts and between the office and customer regarding invoicing and credit changes.
- Ensure accuracy of all receiving and shipping documents.
- Gather, maintain, and verify all data and records related to shipping and receiving activities.
- Verify that receiving counts match packing lists and purchase orders, and that shipping counts match picking documents.
- Prepare any reports concerning customer service as required by supervisors.
- Assist in resolving any discrepancies.
- Operate the computer terminal proficiently.
- Enter and verify data regarding customer orders, shipments, receipts, physical inventories, adjustments, and similar data in an accurate and timely fashion.
- Oversee all paperwork associated with orders and maintain the corresponding files.
- Answer phone calls and operate various office machines and computers necessary to perform duties.
- Greet customers and visitors to the office.
- Effectively correspond with customers as required.
- Answer incoming telephone calls in a cheerful, courteous, and timely manner.
- Promptly route each call to the proper party and take messages when necessary.
- Assist callers with general information and inquiries.
- Direct visitors to the appropriate department.
- Assist drivers at the check‑in window throughout the day.
- Cross‑train in other administrative staff functions to support the site.
- Work overtime as dictated by business, whether mandatory or voluntary.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of experience in a customer‑service related capacity.
- Ability to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse, ranging from mild to moderate, during both warm and cold months.
- 1–3 years of warehouse/logistics support experience.
- 2–3 years of experience in a customer‑service related capacity.
- Occasionally handling finger‑ing or sitting tasks.
- Frequently bending.
- Constantly walking and standing.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 21–50 pounds, reaching above shoulder level, reaching outward, squatting, or kneeling.
The employee is rarely exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level is usually low to moderate.
CompensationExpected base pay rate: $20.50 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on job‑related factors such as experience, skills, education, certification, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
