Overview

We are looking for a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Dental Patient Coordinator to join our team. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming and positive experience. The ideal candidate enjoys helping people, has strong communication skills, and can manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced dental office.

Compensation

Compensation: $25-$28 per hour, based on experience

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet patients warmly and provide exceptional customer service
  • Check patients in and out for their appointments
  • Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments as needed
  • Contact patients by phone, text, or email to remind them of upcoming visits.
  • Verify dental insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage prior to appointments
  • Explain insurance benefits, treatment estimates, and payment options to patients
  • Answer incoming calls and respond to patient questions in a professional and friendly manner
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update insurance and demographic information
  • Coordinate treatment schedules and assist patients with follow‑up appointments
  • Collect payments and process financial transactions
  • Support the dental team by ensuring smooth daily office operations
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA guidelines
Qualifications
  • One year of previous experience in a dental field in the same position
  • Knowledge of dental insurance verification and patient scheduling is a must
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a busy office environment.
  • Experience with Dentrix is a plus
