We are the Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM), established in 1969. With 15 campuses nationwide, AIM is a cornerstone in aviation maintenance education, accounting for 20% of all students in FAA‑certified Airframe & Powerplant schools across the country.

ScheduleThis position follows a Tuesday–Saturday schedule to support our weekend program operations.
- Tuesday–Thursday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Candidates must be available to work weekends as part of this regular schedule.
Compensation$30 – $32 per hour
About the RoleThe Student Success Advisor plays a critical role in supporting students from onboarding through graduation, with a primary focus on retention, certification completion, and academic persistence. You will walk alongside students—building trust while also pushing, motivating, and holding them accountable to complete certifications and stay on track.
Key Responsibilities Performance & Accountability- Actively manage a student caseload and meet defined performance metrics, including:
- Retention and persistence
- Certification readiness and attainment
- Graduation progression
- Contribute to a performance-driven culture focused on measurable student outcomes
- Serve as a consistent point of contact and advocate for assigned students
- Build strong relationships that foster trust, accountability, and follow‑through
- Proactively identify and address barriers to persistence and certification completion
- Support students with attendance, academic standing, and program navigation
- Drive certification outcomes through early intervention, consistent follow‑up, and milestone tracking
- Partner closely with Academic leadership and instructors to monitor student progress
- Support students with resource referrals, accommodations, and escalation pathways as needed
- Accurately document all student interactions, engagement activities, and outcomes in Campus Nexus and other systems
- Participate in cohort tracking, G&E chart confirmation, and required audits
- Contribute to weekly and monthly reporting tied to student success metrics
- Support and/or facilitate workshops, certification readiness initiatives, alumni events, and career fairs
- Collaborate with Academic, Admissions, Financial Aid, and Employer Engagement teams to ensure coordinated student support
- Participate in commencement and key student milestone events
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1–2+ years of experience in student services, advising, admissions, recruiting, workforce development, or a related role
- Experience in a proprietary (for‑profit), post‑secondary education environment strongly preferred
- Background in admissions or sales is highly beneficial
- Strong ability to motivate, influence, and hold students accountable
- Excellent communication skills with a student-centered approach
- Strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities
- Comfortable working in a metrics-driven, performance-focused environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
- You are a natural motivator—you know how to push people in a supportive, effective way
- You balance empathy with accountability and follow‑through
- You are persistent and don’t give up on students easily
- You thrive in structured environments with clear goals and expectations
- You are comfortable having tough conversations when needed
