- Have obtained an Associate's degree, or higher from a nationally or regionally accredited institution of higher education, documented through transcripts;
- Completed a minimum of 48 college credits from a nationally or regionally accredited institution of higher education, documented through transcripts;
- Passed the Para Pro assessment with a minimum score of 455. Documentation of test score must be submitted.
This temporary position involves paraprofessional work that requires the teacher assistant to assist the classroom teacher in performing a variety of tasks after training, i.e., emergency plans, health-related plans/services, behavioral plans and carrying out instructional procedures. The work is performed under the direct supervision of the teacher and/or building administrator. The employee must interact with students, parents, and staff in a positive manner.
