Responsibilities
Ensure tool capacity is well positioned to meet wafer output requirements at the manufacturing area level through regular quadpod meetings. Maintain and troubleshoot planning databases, including boxplot and WS constraint report. Analyze raw data through statistical data analysis tools and make data-driven decisions with quadpod through decision analysis tools. Work with Central teams and partner Fabs to understand and close gaps in workstation performance to meet external benchmark levels.
Participate in area alignment meetings with central teams to understand upcoming technology changes and workstation performance against Model of Record (MOR). Drive gaps closure in performance of workstations toward the MOR; understand the impact to the Fab by performing capacity analysis. Identify and highlight drivers of changes in each scenario and opportunities to minimize capital expenditure for a given scenario, while identifying the timing of the required capital through scenario analysis.
Update the excess list and collaborate with layout coordinators for deinstallation schedules. Communicate scenario changes with areas and involve stakeholders in strategic decision-making. Provide capacity impact of process or tool changes, maintain accurate tool delivery dates in MICAP, and ensure the capacity model stays accurate through MICAP events, most current delivery, Qual, Req, In-Service dates for approved capital, conversions, deinstalls, relocations.
Provide sufficient justification for capital requests to all stakeholders and site leadership during the monthly capital process. Perform NPV calculation on proposed capital items and provide impact to capacity. Work effectively with both internal and external customers of the IE team to devise solutions, and align with central team and sister sites on best-known methods.
Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Engineering Management, Operations Management, or related field.
