As a Dry Etch Equipment Maintenance Technician in Manassas, Virginia, you are responsible for monitoring, sustaining, and improving the equipment and processes in the assigned area. You work in partnership with production team members and area engineers, monitoring tool performance, scheduling and performing preventative maintenance, and using mechanical, electronic and PC/software skills to solve and repair equipment issues.

• Assist with equipment installs and tests.
• Create and modify equipment procedures.
• Increase tool uptime through systematic problem‑solving and fixing, quality workmanship, and thorough documentation of all maintenance performed in established check sheets and tracking programs.
• Monitor, analyze, and address SPC issues for area processes on a daily basis and respond to SPC out‑of‑control issues.
• Keep the Lead Tech and/or Lead Engineer updated on tool and area issues.

• 5+ years of semiconductor equipment maintenance experience, with experience on vacuum systems a plus.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of AC/DC circuits, fundamentals of electricity, and basic electronic components and circuits; basic understanding of physics concepts and principles.
• SPC principles and proper application, and understanding of semiconductor equipment and process control.
• Basic knowledge of test and calibration equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, DMMs, etc.).
• Flexible with job responsibilities and shift assignments including night shift; ability to work 12‑hour shifts (3 on/4 off and 4 on/3 off) with the need to stand the entire shift and lift equipment.

• Two‑year industry‑related associate degree; working toward a STEM related degree; or equivalent military training and experience.
• Prior experience maintaining high‑vacuum systems; roughing pumps, turbo pumps, cryo pumps, pressure measurement systems; maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of plasma RF systems and semiconductor‑type plasma etch tools such as LAM (KIYO, EXELAN, FX, FLFX) or AMAT CENTURA, MESA, PRODUCER, ENABLER or TEL (DRM, SCCM, VIGUS, VESTA).
• Experience with multiple robotic systems and proficiency in operating, maintaining, and repairing them; experience with training and mentoring technicians.
