Electrical Engineer; PCB Design in Manassas

Summary

Mu-Del Electronics is looking to hire an Electrical Engineer – PCB Layout for RF and high-speed digital circuits. They will work with electrical and mechanical engineers by taking their schematics/BOMs and layout out the PCB to be sent out for build.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, minimum
• 3 – 5 years of professional experience with demonstrated work performance in PCB layout design using Altium
• High degree of ingenuity and skilled in the design, prototyping and testing of small analog, digital, FPGA and microprocessor‑based circuits
• Ability to work from rough sketches and oral instructions, often with only tentative guidance available
• Proficient in the use of application software and associated hardware relating to PCB layout and microprocessor firmware development
• Working knowledge on creating BOMs in a MRP system
• Knowledge of proper use of laboratory equipment such as oscilloscope, data acquisition equipment, thermocouples and power supplies for testing and evaluation of electronic circuitry is a plus
• Knowledge or experience of RF and microwave test equipment including Network Analyzers and spectrum analysis, Noise Figure is a plus; familiarity with RF tuning and filter testing is a plus
• Knowledge/experience with electronic components and PCB design, preferably RF
• Knowledge or experience with RF design simulation techniques and tools a plus
• Willingness to learn and become an effective team member
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative and responsibility in a team environment
• Excellent problem‑solving and organizational skills; exceptional time management skills
• Effective communication skills, including writing, speaking and active listening; great interpersonal skills.

Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
