Job Summary:
Provide support to NSWC Dahlgren H2O for AN/SQQ-89 testing at integrator location (Lockheed Martin/Manassas VA) for domestic and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) systems.
- Write and execute test cases that exercise the SQQ-89 system and its external interfaces, including AWS, VLS, TSP, and Radar.
- Document issues with the SQQ-89 and its interfaces, providing clear descriptions and steps to reproduce.
- Review system documentation and requirements and provide technical input to the Systems Engineering team.
- Re-create issues from the Fleet Support team in the lab for witness installing the SQQ-89 system, ensuring the SVD is followed and providing redlined changes as needed.
- Collaborate with the system Integrator’s automated test team to design automated test scripts.
- Travel approximately 10% of the time.
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline and seven (7) years of systems test experience with real‑time weapons systems, combat systems, or fire control systems.
- Or US Naval operational experience in a combat systems rate at the E6 level or higher with four (4) years of systems test experience.
- Or ten (10) years of systems test experience with real‑time weapons systems, combat systems, or fire control systems.
- Experience testing and analyzing surface ship weapons control and C2 systems.
- Developer or capability level testing, functional level testing (FQT/Verification and Validation), software/system integration testing, or AEGIS combat systems integration land‑based testing.
- Use of simulators in a test environment.
- Experience with Agile tools (JIRA, Test Rail, Confluence).
- Experience with ASW fire control system (e.g., AN/SQQ-89).
$80,000 – $100,000 (range based on experience and other factors).
