Job Overview
Gromelski and Associates, Inc. (GAI) partners with prime contractors to provide professional services in engineering design, software development and testing, system integration, lab management, logistics support, training, multimedia, and technical support.
The candidate will work in an Agile environment focused on continuous integration and development of hardware and software. Responsibilities include performing system testing and evaluation tasks, supporting system integration and test engineers and technicians, assisting in isolating root cause of problems, verifying and validating issue resolution, performing basic hardware/software installation and maintenance, managing configurations, documenting test results and failure reports, performing build checkouts regularly, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and providing overall support to I&T engineering teams.
Required Skills- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to read and understand technical information, system level diagrams, tables, slide packages and drawings.
- Understanding of basic networking characteristics, standards, and equipment.
- Ability to conduct troubleshooting and testing with procedures.
- Must be able to obtain and keep a DoD Secret Clearance and be a U.S. Citizen.
- Previous experience with submarine systems and subsystems.
- Working knowledge of Linux command line.
- Working knowledge with hardware stand-up including wiring, server setup and switch installation.
- College degree (completed or in progress) in a related discipline, and/or former military experience.
- High School Equivalency Entry – or intermediate-level employee and 0-2 years’ experience.
