Process Engineer

• Start up, develop, and optimize processes to improve product quality and reliability.
• Work on process yield improvement, cost reduction, productivity improvement, and risk management.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve process-related problems using failure analysis, FMEA, 8D, or SPC methodology.
• Coordinate and carry out process, equipment, and material evaluation/optimization to implement changes at the process step.
• Lead and participate in yield improvement and cost reduction activities.
• Handle new process baseline qualifications; manage, audit, and liaise with material suppliers to achieve quality, cost, and risk management objectives.
• Establish and improve process conditions and technology; upgrade process capability and reduce production cost.
• Establish and modify process management projects; set up process parameters for various semiconductor equipment.
• Evaluate, promote, and plan new equipment/materials; perform abnormal analysis and improvements.
• Maximize yield by working on tools, processes, or wafer fabrication recipes; troubleshoot wafer fabrication problems and perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with other process areas to understand and control process deviations; pursue long-term defect issue investigations with shift engineering and other functions.
• Evaluate products to ensure they meet required design and performance specifications; conduct research to assess process adjustment requirements and recommend improvements or equipment changes to efficiently manufacture new product or part types.

Employer will accept a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field, and 1 year of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Required knowledge includes:

• Data mining
• Statistical process control
• Project management
