As an Equipment Maintenance Technician
, you will be part of an inclusive team relentlessly pursuing innovation for our customers and partners. This role is crucial to sustaining and improving equipment and processes in assigned areas of our fabrication facility. You will work closely with production team members and engineers to monitor tool performance, perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot and repair equipment, and support equipment installations and upgrades.
Your contributions will directly impact tool uptime, product quality, and operational efficiency.
- Monitor tool performance and perform scheduled preventative maintenance on assigned tool sets.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electronic equipment using diagnostic tools and software.
- Document all maintenance activities thoroughly using established check sheets and tracking systems, while routinely reviewing maintenance documentation and procedures for accuracy and improvement opportunities.
- Dismantle, adjust, repair, and reassemble equipment based on schematics, manuals, and layout plans. Assist with equipment installations, testing, and modifications as directed by engineering teams.
- Create and update equipment procedures and documentation to ensure consistent maintenance practices.
- Systematically solve problems to improve tool uptime and reduce recurring issues.
- Rebuild manufacturing equipment as needed to maintain operational standards.
- Use test and calibration equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, DMMs) to perform equipment checkouts.
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Electronics, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related technical field or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work 12‑hour shifts (3 on/4 off and 4 on/3 off), including standing for the entire shift and lifting equipment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with basic PC skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electronics Engineering Technology or equivalent military/industry experience.
- Basic knowledge of semiconductor equipment and manufacturing processes, along with knowledge of AC/DC circuits, electronic components, and basic electronic theory. Understanding of statistical process control (SPC) principles and their application.
- Familiarity with test and calibration equipment such as oscilloscopes and digital multimeters. Experience in data extraction, analysis, and reporting.
