Signal Processing Engineer
This position involves working in teams to develop embedded software in support of the US Navy's sonar and anti-submarine warfare mission. The role will focus on developing models and algorithms in MATLAB and C/C++ to enhance sonar and other submarine systems. The objective is to implement optimized acoustic processing solutions within allocated processor and memory constraints.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement models and algorithms using MATLAB and C/C++.
- Optimize C/C++ code to operate within specific processor and memory allocations.
- Implement acoustic processing solutions based on algorithms from Systems Engineering.
- Conduct system integration.
- Provide test support and problem resolution across system variants.
Required Qualifications
Education:
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience/combined education.
Experience:
5 years of professional experience is required. Candidates should have recent and relevant signal processing experience and agile methodology experience.
Technical
Skills:
Proficiency in programming, Linux, and Signal Processing is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- A minor in Mathematics or Physics.
- Experience in Undersea Acoustics.
- Proficiency with C/C++, Python, and Matlab.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position ranges from $90.00 to $120.00 per hour. Specific compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
