This role involves providing leadership and deep subject matter expertise in architectural layout and design for industrial building projects, specifically within the semiconductor and high-tech facility sectors. The ideal candidate will utilize advanced knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD to deliver successful design outcomes, mentor junior staff, and ensure project alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize deep knowledge of required discipline subject areas and familiarity with other disciplines
- Maintain expertise in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and other modeling and drafting programs
- Understand how work affects scope, schedule, and budget, and identify scope creep
- Identify and present various options to solve technical problems
- Grasp the scope of work and provide direction to the team to ensure alignment
- Implement industry best practices and demonstrate intimate knowledge of codes and standards
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff
- Break down a project into required tasks and provide work estimates to leadership
- Perform extensive modeling, drafting, and model review
- Serve as a project lead designer
- Bachelor's degree in Architectural Studies, Computer Drafting and Design, similar area of focus, or equivalent on-the-job experience
- Experience in industrial building design and semiconductor or related high-tech type facilities
- Proven track record of successful design delivery across multiple projects
- Deep knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam
- Ability to perform as a project lead designer
- Experience with 3D modeling and clash detection tools
- Knowledge of semiconductor tool requirements and installation processes
- Familiarity with safety and regulatory standards in high-tech manufacturing
