Licensed Engineer / Architect Manassas, VA
Pay From: $115,000 per year
MUST:
- Experienced Licensed Engineer/Architect
- 3+ years of related engineering or architectural experience
- Experience with structural engineering, building enclosure, historic preservation, forensic investigations, restoration, renovation, or new construction projects
- Experience evaluating structural or architectural failures preferred
- Experience assessing deterioration, code deficiencies, and safety concerns preferred
- Experience designing structural and building enclosure repairs preferred
- Experience preparing construction documents for restoration and renovation projects preferred
- Desire to engage in hands-on field investigations
- Ability and willingness to perform field investigations and travel as project needs require
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving history
- Registered Architect or Licensed Engineer required
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or related field required; advanced degree valued but not required
DUTIES:
- Perform structural and architectural field investigations
- Evaluate structural and architectural failures
- Assess building deterioration, code deficiencies, and safety concerns
- Perform structural failure investigations and forensic engineering evaluations
- Conduct building enclosure evaluations
- Develop designs for structural and building enclosure repairs
- Prepare construction documents for restoration and renovation projects
- Support historic preservation projects
- Support facade and roofing rehabilitation projects
- Perform restoration and renovation design
- Work on new construction, restoration, forensic, and rehabilitation projects
- Develop technical solutions for complex structural and building enclosure challenges
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders
- Perform hands-on field investigations and travel to project sites as required
- Support project management and successful project delivery
