Escrow Officer – Manassas Home builder Services Division

First American seeks an Escrow Officer to manage real estate transactions in a fast-paced, customer‑focused environment.

• Complete real estate escrow transactions by determining requirements.
• Act as a neutral liaison between file parties, adhere to company policy, and monitor and mitigate risk to the company.
• Ensure all funds are properly accounted for and disbursed in accordance with contract terms and company policy.
• Prepare regular reports on the status of the escrow account and present these reports to parties involved in the transaction.
• Examine property titles, mortgages, and trust deed documents.
• Prepare legal documents for the closure of the sale.
• Complete closing by recording and filing documents, preparing, and distributing final closing statements and title.

• 2–4 years of escrow‐related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience directly handling escrow transactions as an escrow assistant preferred.
• Openness to new technology and proprietary programs; quick to adjust to new workflows.
• Passion for helping customers while maintaining a professional and positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal team and external customers; comfortable using various communication channels.
• Problem‑solving skills with strong organizational abilities, detail orientation, and resource navigation to resolve issues.
• Team player who collaborates to deliver beyond customer expectations.
• Willing to guide and support future talent learning the business.
• Proficient with MS Office suite and ability to adapt quickly to new software applications and technologies.
