Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This role is vital in providing support and education to clients and their families, helping them achieve their goals through effective behavioral therapy techniques.

Responsibilities
  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as designed by the supervising BCBA.
  • Provide direct support to children with developmental disabilities in various settings, including home, school, and community environments.
  • Collect and document data on client progress and behavior changes accurately and consistently.
  • Educate clients and families on behavioral strategies to promote skill development and independence.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of client information.
  • Assist in the development of care plans and contribute to medical documentation as needed.
  • Collaborate with other professionals involved in the client’s care to ensure a holistic approach to treatment.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
  • Familiarity with behavioral health concepts and behavioral therapy techniques.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to maintain accurate medical records.
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
  • Ability to educate clients and families on behavioral strategies effectively.
  • A compassionate approach towards working with individuals facing challenges related to their behavior.
  • Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or willingness to obtain certification upon hiring.
