Job Summary

The incumbent will act as a Supervisor of Supply Chain Operations for their assigned facility within UVA Health Northern VA Culpeper. The incumbent will act as a liaison to all hospital departments and units. The goal of the role is to provide excellent service to the units, with patient safety central to their mission. This will be accomplished by leading all daily activities related to par level stocking, distribution and logistics, data entry and analysis, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures of UVA Health Northern VA Culpeper and specified regulatory bodies, code cart replenishment, and receiving and off‑site deliveries.

The supervisor of Supply Chain Operations will also be responsible for market level monitoring on costs, policy adherence, team member education, and key performance indicator (KPI) analysis, investigation and reporting to market and facility leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent service to units, maintaining patient safety.
  • Lead all daily activities related to par level stocking, distribution and logistics, data entry and analysis.
  • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures of UVA Health Northern VA Culpeper and regulatory bodies.
  • Perform code cart replenishment.
  • Receive and manage off‑site deliveries.
  • Monitor market level costs, adherence to policy, and team member education.
  • Analyze, investigate and report KPI data to market and facility leadership.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma required. Some college education preferred.
  • Experience: 3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in Supply Chain. Experience in hospital materials management preferred. Will consider equivalent experience in other fields. Experience with inventory control and par level stocking preferred.
  • Licensure: Must produce an acceptable DMV driving record.
  • Additional Skills/Requirements

    Required:

    • Ability to complete department specific competency assessment.
    • Thorough knowledge of supply chain techniques and management/distribution systems.
    • Knowledge of current regulatory/governing standards, policies, and procedures.
    • Knowledge of safety and infection control policies and procedures.
    • Computer/information systems skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel).
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to lead, direct, and instruct others professionally.
    • Ability to organize, prioritize, and adapt to changing situations.
    • Good numerical and clerical abilities.
    • Good manual dexterity.
    • Good critical thinking and decision‑making skills.
    • Supportive and cooperative attitude essential; willingness to provide a team environment.
  • Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred:
    • Current understanding of par level control measures.
    • Knowledge of medical surgical products or medical terminology.
    • Computer/information system skills including People Soft and time‑keeping software systems.
