We're looking for a compassionate, organized, and team-oriented Medical Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment. In this role, you'll work alongside orthopedic providers to support patient care from check-in through treatment, while helping ensure each visit is efficient, welcoming, and focused on the patient's needs.
What You'll DoAs a Medical Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting both patients and providers by:
Preparing exam rooms and ensuring clinical areas are clean, stocked, and ready for patient care.
Rooming patients, obtaining medical histories, recording vital signs, and documenting clinical information.
Assisting providers with patient examinations, treatments, and in-office procedures.
Educating patients on orthopedic care, including cast care, brace use, and post-treatment instructions.
Coordinating patient care by scheduling follow-up appointments, imaging, therapy, and surgical procedures.
Entering provider orders for diagnostic testing, therapy, and other patient care needs.
Supporting surgery coordination, including pre-operative testing and equipment arrangements.
Responding to patient phone calls, addressing questions, and appropriately triaging concerns.
Collaborating with providers and the clinical team to keep patient flow efficient while delivering outstanding customer service.
What You'll Bring Successful candidates will typically have:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of a Medical Assistant program, Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent), or relevant clinical experience.
Experience in a medical office, outpatient clinic, or orthopedic practice.
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR).Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Basic computer proficiency and attention to detail.
Compensation Range for this position:$20.68 - $31.02
Compensation for this role will be based on several factors, including the candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, education, skills, certifications, geography/market, and internal equity considerations.
