Position:Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated COTA to join our growing team. In this role, you will work closely with our Occupational Therapists and interdisciplinary team to support children in building independence, regulation, and functional life skills.
What You’ll Do- Implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed OT
- Provide direct therapy targeting fine motor skills, gross motor development, sensory processing and regulation, activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Support children in building independence and participation in daily routines
- Document session notes and track client progress accurately
- Collaborate with OTs, BCBAs, SLPs, and caregivers
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to treatment planning
- Provide caregiver education and support for carryover of skills at home
- Compassionate, patient, and child-centered approach
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to stay organized and manage documentation requirements
- Team-oriented mindset within a multidisciplinary setting
- Commitment to ethical practice and client confidentiality (HIPAA compliance)
- Maintains a professional appearance, including appropriate clothing, grooming, and hygiene suitable for working with children and families
- Current COTA certification and state licensure (Required)
- Experience with pediatric populations (preferred)
- Experience with sensory integration, developmental delays, or autism spectrum disorders is a plus
